The 3-star hotel in Levico Terme, born from a historic residence
There are places that have never stopped welcoming.
Every residence holds a story. The story of Hotel Romanda continues to this day.
Among the streets of Levico Terme’s historic centre, this building has lived through eras, transformations and generations, eventually becoming the hotel that welcomes its guests without forgetting its roots. A home before it was ever a place to stay, where time has left traces that can still be found in its details, its spaces and the stories of those who lived here.
Here, for four generations, the Bosco family has carried forward an idea of hospitality built on presence, attentiveness and simple gestures. Because some things change with time. Others deserve to remain.
Before it became a hotel
It was great-grandfather Pietro Bosco who addressed travellers crossing the threshold of the Trattoria del Sole in these words. The years have passed, habits and the way we travel have changed, but not the desire to welcome guests with the same care and attention.
Today, Hotel Romanda is still the home of the Bosco family, who have continued for four generations to preserve and share this place with those arriving in Levico Terme.
Traces of time
Since then, many things have changed. The ancient residence has lived through different eras, from the Prince-Bishopric to the Habsburg period, before becoming the hotel that welcomes guests today. Some details have remained, while other spaces have been renovated. Together, they continue to tell the story of a home that has never stopped welcoming people.
Sleeping among the pages of history
The history of the residence is also reflected in the names of some rooms. The Canon, The Bishop, and The Council are not just simple references to the past, but references to people and events that have marked the life of the building.
The Canon recalls Domenico Gianettini, who acquired the house in the Seventeenth century and held an important position in the service of the Bishop Prince of Trento, to whom the Junior Suite of the Bishop is dedicated. The Superior of the Council, on the other hand, recalls the period when the residence was built, in the first half of the Sixteenth century, during the same years as the Council of Trento.
From yesterday’s cellars to today’s Boivin
The ancient cellars of the building, once used for storing wine, are now home to Ristorante Boivin. Spaces rich in history that the Bosco family chose to enhance, transforming them into a place where the pleasure of dining continues to take centre stage.
Accessible directly from the hotel, including by lift, Boivin is a natural extension of the stay: a place where history, hospitality and cuisine meet within the same building that has continued to open its doors for generations.
A home to enjoy
You stop. You look outside. You stay a little longer.
On the terrace, to admire the mountains. In the lounges, to leaf through a book. In the shared spaces, to take some time for yourself. They are simple spaces, but important ones. Because staying at Hotel Romanda does not mean simply moving between your room and the front door, but living in a home that, for a few days, becomes a little bit yours too.
